What I'll fight for on council

Four priorities, written plainly, so you can hold me to them.

Priority 1

Enhanced public transportation

Buses that show up, routes that connect, and a real plan for GO service.

  • Push for higher-frequency York Region Transit service on Ward 1 corridors, with reliable evening and weekend runs.
  • Fight for expanded GO Train service at East Gwillimbury Station and better local connections to the platform.
  • Add sheltered, lit, accessible stops so waiting for a bus in February isn't a hardship.
  • On-demand transit that actually works for rural pockets of the ward.

Priority 2

Infrastructure for active children

Safe routes, real fields, and places for kids to be kids year-round.

  • Complete sidewalk and safe-crossing gaps on every route to school in Ward 1.
  • Invest in playgrounds, splash pads, courts, and all-season fields — including maintenance budgets, not just ribbon cuttings.
  • Expand affordable after-school and weekend recreation programming close to home.
  • Traffic calming near schools and parks, prioritized by where families report the biggest risks.

Priority 3

Seniors' infrastructure and nourishment

Age in place with dignity: accessible spaces, transport, and good food.

  • Accessible, barrier-free upgrades to community centres, washrooms, benches, and walking paths.
  • A dedicated seniors' hub with programming, warm meals, and social connection.
  • Support for meal delivery and community kitchen partnerships so no senior in Ward 1 goes without proper nourishment.
  • Senior-friendly transit options and snow-clearing priority on key walking routes.

Priority 4

Efficient city services

Faster permits, clearer answers, and tax dollars that go further.

  • Service standards with published wait times for permits, inspections, and service requests.
  • One online portal to report an issue and track it to completion.
  • Line-by-line review of contracts and overhead to reinvest savings in front-line service.
  • Plain-language budget reporting so residents can see exactly where the money goes.
